Last updated: 8 October 2026
Olvenne ("we", "us", "our") operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services, to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping experience (the "Services"). Olvenne is a trading name of NOVIRA LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States, and is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you visit, use or make a purchase through the Services, or communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing and disclosure of your personal information. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.
Who is responsible for your data
For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, NOVIRA LLC (trading as Olvenne) is the data controller of your personal information. Our contact details are at the end of this policy.
Personal information we collect or process
"Personal information" means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. Depending on how you use the Services, where you live and as permitted by law, we may collect or process:
- Contact details: your name, billing and shipping address, phone number and email address.
- Payment and transaction information: payment method, payment confirmation and transaction details, and the items you view, add to your cart, buy, return, exchange or cancel. We do not store your full card details. They are handled by our payment providers.
- Account information: your username, password (encrypted), preferences and settings, if you create an account.
- Communications with us: what you include in your messages, for example when you contact customer support, including any photos you send.
- Device information: your device, browser and network connection, IP address and other unique identifiers.
- Usage information: how and when you interact with and navigate the Services.
Where we get your information from
- Directly from you when you create an account, place an order, use the Services or contact us.
- Automatically from your device when you visit the Services, through cookies and similar technologies.
- From our service providers who collect or process information on our behalf, such as Shopify and payment providers.
- From our partners or other third parties.
How we use your personal information
- To provide, tailor and improve the Services. To process payments, fulfil and ship your orders, handle returns, exchanges and refunds, manage your account, remember your preferences, enable reviews, and improve the Services.
- Marketing and advertising. To send marketing emails or messages (where you have agreed, or where the law allows) and to show you ads on the Services or other websites, including based on products you viewed or added to your cart. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email.
- Security and fraud prevention. To authenticate accounts, keep payments and shopping secure, and detect, investigate or act on suspected fraud or other unlawful or malicious activity.
- Communicating with you. To provide customer support, reply to your messages and send order and delivery updates. If you opt out of marketing, we may still send you non-promotional messages about your orders or account.
- Legal reasons. To comply with the law, respond to valid legal requests, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims, including enforcing our terms and policies.
Legal basis for processing (UK and EEA residents)
If you live in the UK or the European Economic Area, we process your personal information on these legal bases: to perform our contract with you (for example to process and deliver your order); to comply with legal obligations (for example tax and accounting rules); for our legitimate interests (for example preventing fraud, securing the Services, improving them and responding to your messages), balanced against your rights; and, where required, with your consent (for example certain cookies and marketing). You can withdraw consent at any time. This does not affect processing already carried out.
How we disclose personal information
- With Shopify, and with vendors and other third parties who perform services for us, such as payment processing, IT, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, order fulfilment and shipping. Our fulfilment partners and carriers receive the details needed to deliver your order, such as your name, delivery address, phone number and email address.
- With business and marketing partners who provide marketing services and advertise to you, including advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram). They use your information in line with their own privacy notices. Depending on where you live, you may have a right to opt out of targeted advertising (see "Your rights and choices").
- When you direct us or consent to disclosure to third parties, for example to ship your products.
- With our affiliates or within our corporate group.
- For business transfers and legal reasons, for example a merger or sale, to comply with legal obligations (including responding to valid requests from authorities), to enforce our terms and policies, and to protect or defend the Services, our rights and the rights of others.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Relationship with Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve them for you. Information you submit will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify and with third parties that may be located in countries other than where you live. We also use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data from your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify. In those cases, Shopify is responsible for processing your personal information, including responding to your requests about that use. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to run the Services, remember your cart and preferences, understand how the Services are used, and measure and personalise advertising. These include Shopify's own cookies and analytics, and advertising tools such as the Meta pixel and Meta's Conversions API. We may also use analytics tools such as Google Analytics. Where required, we ask for your consent through our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Services work.
Third-party websites and links
The Services may link to websites or platforms run by third parties. If you follow those links, review their privacy and security policies. We are not responsible for the privacy or security of those sites or the accuracy of their content. Information you share on public or semi-public venues, such as social media, may be visible to others.
Children's data
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about children under the age of majority in their country. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee perfect security. Information you send to us may not be secure in transit, so please do not send sensitive or confidential information through unsecured channels.
How long we keep your information depends on why we hold it. As a general guide: order and accounting records are kept for up to 7 years to meet tax and legal requirements; customer support messages for up to 3 years; marketing data until you opt out or ask us to delete it; and account data for as long as your account is active. We may keep information longer where needed to comply with the law, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights. They are not absolute and may apply only in certain circumstances, and we may decline a request as permitted by law.
- Right to access / know the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to delete personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right of portability: to receive a copy of your personal information and ask us to transfer it to a third party, in certain circumstances.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising. If you visit our website with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we treat it as a request to opt out for that browser and device, depending on where you are. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org. We do not recognise other "Do Not Track" signals.
- Managing communication preferences. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link.
If you live in the UK or the EEA, you may also have the right to object to or ask us to restrict our processing of your personal information for certain purposes, and the right to withdraw your consent where we rely on it.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first. You may use an authorised agent to make a request for you, and we may ask for proof that you authorised them. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights, and we will reply within the time required by law. For data processed by Shopify, you can also use the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we process your personal information, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to your local data protection authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU or EEA, the supervisory authority in your country of residence. You may also have the right to appeal our decision by contacting us.
International transfers
We operate from the United States, and our service providers and partners may be located in other countries. Your personal information may therefore be transferred to, stored and processed outside the country where you live. If we transfer personal information out of the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on recognised safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK's equivalent, unless the destination country has been recognised as providing adequate protection.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, regulatory or operational reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page, change the "Last updated" date and give notice where the law requires.
